Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2009 🢒 G8 🢒 Roof 🢒 Sunroof 🢒 Sunroof Window Height and Opening Fit Adjustment
  1. Cycle the sunroof window from the full open to the full closed position.

    2. Note: Correct adjustment cannot be achieved if the sunroof window is closed from the vent position.

  2. Remove the top side of the sunroof panel side opening closeout panel covers (1) from the 3 clips located on the inner edge of the sunroof window (2) in order to access the window adjustment screws.
  3. Cycle the sunroof to the closed position.

  4. Loosen the adjusting screws (1) on each side of the sunroof window.
  5. Centre the window front to rear in the opening.

    6. Note: Do not fully tighten the sunroof retaining screws at this stage.

  6. Adjust the front of the sunroof window (2) from flush to 1 mm (0.04 in) (1) below the top surface of the roof panel (3).

    7. Do not fully tighten at this stage.

    Note: Do not fully tighten the sunroof retaining screws at this stage.

  7. Adjust the rear of the sunroof window (2) from flush to 1 mm (0.04 in) above the top surface of the roof panel (1).

    8. Do not fully tighten at this stage.

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  8. Tighten the sunroof glass to the sunroof frame retaining screws (1) and tighten to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

    9. Object Number: 1938691 Size: SH
  9. Install the sunroof panel side opening closeout covers (2).
  10. Cycle the sunroof window through all of the positions.
  11. Verify the sunroof window fore/aft adjustment.
  12. Verify the front and rear height adjustment.
  13. Readjust the sunroof window, if necessary.
