Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 2039425  Size: SH

    Important: The rear bumper fascia energy absorber is a critical safety item and must be handle with due care. If the rear bumper fascia energy absorber is damaged in any way during installation or removal, it must be replaced.

  1. Remove the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement.
  2. Important: Care must be taken not to damage the rear bumper fascia energy absorber to rear impact bar retaining clips (4)

  3. Disengage the rear bumper fascia energy absorber (1) from the from the rear bumper impact bar (2) by applying suitable outward pressure to the indicted areas  (3) along the body of the rear bumper fascia energy absorber (1).

Installation Procedure

    Important: The rear bumper fascia energy absorber is a critical safety item and must be handle with due care. If the rear bumper fascia energy absorber is damaged in any way during installation or removal, it must be replaced.

  1. Engage the rear bumper fascia energy absorber (1) onto the rear bumper impact bar (2) making sure that the retention tabs (3) and the rear bumper fascia energy absorber to rear impact bar retaining clips (4)  engages audibly.
  2. Install the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement.
