Removal Procedure
  1. Place the selector lever in PARK.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.

    3. Object Number: 1954218 Size: SH
  3. Remove the nut from the shift control linkage rod.
  4. Disconnect the shift control linkage rod from the shift control.

    5. Object Number: 1958702 Size: SH
  5. Remove the shift selector linkage rod to shift selector shaft retaining nut (3).
  6. Remove the shift selector linkage rod (1) from the shift selector shaft (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1958702 Size: SH
  1. Install the shift selector linkage rod (1) to the shift selector shaft (2).

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the shift selector linkage rod to shift selector shaft retaining nut (3) and tighten to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

    3. Object Number: 1954218 Size: SH
  3. Connect the shift control linkage rod to the shift control assembly.
  4. Install the nut to the shift control linkage rod.
  5. Adjust the shift control linkage. Refer to Shift Control Linkage Adjustment.
  6. Lower the vehicle.
