Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  2. Remove the radiator air baffle and deflector. Refer to Radiator Air Upper Baffle and Deflector Replacement.

    3. Note: 

       • For left park/turn signal lamp access, go to step 3.
       • For right park/turn signal lamp access, go to step 5.

  3. For access to the left park/turn signal lamp, release the air cleaner cover retaining clips (1).

    4. Object Number: 2040549 Size: SH
  4. Detach and move the air cleaner upper cover (1) rearward.

    5. Object Number: 1949709 Size: SH
  5. For access to the right park/turn signal lamp, disconnect the coolant recovery hose (2) from the coolant recovery reservoir filler neck (1).

    6. Object Number: 2040551 Size: SH

    Note: Remove the coolant recovery reservoir filler neck by pulling upwards. Allow the coolant recovery reservoir filler neck to drain before completely removing it from the vehicle.

    Note: Place a clean workshop cloth over the opening of the coolant recovery reservoir immediately after removing the coolant recovery reservoir filler neck to prevent contamination of the coolant.

  6. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir filler neck (1).

    7. Object Number: 2040553 Size: SH

    Note: Rotate the park/turn signal lamp socket (2) counter-clockwise to remove.

  7. Remove the park/turn signal lamp socket (2) from the headlamp assembly (1).

    8. Object Number: 2040555 Size: SH

    Note: Rotate the park/turn signal lamp bulb (2) counter-clockwise to remove.

  8. Remove the park/turn signal lamp bulb (2) from the park/turn signal lamp socket (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2040558 Size: SH

    Note: Push and rotate the park/turn signal lamp bulb (2) clockwise to install.

  1. Install the park/turn signal lamp bulb (2) to the park/turn signal lamp socket (1).

    2. Object Number: 2040559 Size: SH

    Note: Rotate the park/turn signal lamp socket (2) clockwise to install.

  2. Install the park/turn signal lamp socket (2) to the headlamp assembly (1).

    3. Object Number: 2040546 Size: SH

    Note: Ignore step 3 if access to the right park/turn signal lamp bulb was required.

  3. Reposition the air cleaner upper cover and secure the air cleaner cover retaining clips (1).

    4. Object Number: 2040561 Size: SH

    Note: Ignore steps 4 and 5 if access to the left park/turn signal lamp bulb was required.

    Note: Align the tab and keyway (2) and push the coolant recovery reservoir filler neck (1) down into the coolant recovery reservoir (3).

  4. Install the coolant recovery reservoir filler neck (1) into the coolant recovery reservoir (3).

    5. Object Number: 1949709 Size: SH
  5. Connect the coolant recovery reservoir hose (2) to the coolant recovery reservoir filler neck (1)
  6. Install the radiator air baffle and deflector. Refer to Radiator Air Upper Baffle and Deflector Replacement.
  7. Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  8. Check all vehicle lights for correct operation.
