Caution: Broken or deteriorated mounts can cause misalignment and destruction of certain drive train components. When a single mount breaks, the remaining mounts are subjected to abnormally high stresses.
Note: Raising the engine, will remove the weight from the engine mount and create a slight tension in the rubber mount.
Note: Before replacing any engine mount due to suspected fluid loss, verify that the source of the fluid is actually the engine mount, not the engine or other accessories.
• | The hard rubber surface is covered with heat check cracks. |
• | The rubber is separated from the metal plate of the engine mount. |
• | The rubber is split through the center of the engine mount. |
• | The GLYCOL™ fluid is leaking from the engine mount. |
