The rearview mirror assembly incorporates a display which indicates the passenger airbag status and a digital compass which displays the direction of vehicle travel.
Below the rearview mirror glass are four buttons:
• | The compass display button, which is identified by the letter 'N' with a triangle above. When pressed it activates or deactivates the digital compass in the top right corner of the mirror assembly. |
• | The answer/end call button, which is identified by the white phone icon. When pressed it allows the user to either answer or end calls or to initiate the personal calling feature. |
• | The blue OnStar® call center button, which is identified by the OnStar® logo. When pressed it allows the user to connect to the OnStar® call center. |
• | The emergency button, which is identified by the white cross in front of a red background. When pressed it allows the user to make a high priority emergency call to the OnStar® call center. |
The OnStar® status LED is located on the right of the emergency button on the rearview mirror assembly. When the OnStar® system is ON and operating normally the status LED indicates green. If the status LED indicates green and flashing, it is an indication that a call is in process. If the status LED indicates red, it is an indication that a system malfunction is present. In the event that there is a system malfunction and the OnStar® system is still able to make a call, the status LED will flash red during the call.
The inside rearview mirror incorporates a lever at the base of the mirror which when turned tilts the mirror to reduce the glare at night.
