Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2009 🢒 G8 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Cooling 🢒 Mass Airflow Sensor with Intake Air Temperature Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1949902 Size: SH
  1. Ignition OFF.
  2. Remove the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement.
  3. Remove the mass air flow (MAF) harness connector (2) from the MAF sensor.
  4. Remove the MAF sensor air box retaining clamps (1).

  5. Remove the MAF sensor to air box retaining screws (1).

    6. Object Number: 1949903 Size: SH
  6. Remove the MAF sensor seal and discard the seal.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1949903 Size: SH

    Note: Make note of the MAF sensor orientation when fitting to the air induction tube ensuring, arrow pointing toward the engine.

  1. Install the new MAF sensor seal (1) locating the seal in the location holes and the MAF sensor.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the MAF sensor to air box retaining screws (1) and tighten to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  3. Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement.
  4. Install the mass air flow (MAF) harness connector (2).
  5. Install the MAF sensor clamps (1) to the MAF sensor.
