Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1839760 Size: SH
  1. Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side .
  2. Remove the exhaust manifold lower heat shield bolts (1, 2).
  3. Remove the exhaust manifold lower heat shield.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1839760 Size: SH
  1. Position the exhaust manifold lower heat shield to the engine.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the exhaust manifold lower heat shield bolts (1, 2).

    3. Tighten

        • Tighten the bolt (1) to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
        • Tighten the bolt (2) to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
  3. Install the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side .
