The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

There is a under vehicle wiring harness that is exposed to road debris and could possibly become damaged. If damage occurs to this harness any of the below codes to set.

1. P0442
2. P0449
3. P0455
4. P0461
5. P0463
6. C0045
7. C0050

Along with these codes the following symptoms may exist:

1. Crank NO start
2. SES light on
3. ABS Light on
4. Fuel gauge inoperative/erratic

Carefully inspect the wiring harness that comes out of the right rear floor pan area at connector # 413. The harness has a loop that is located in front of the EVAP canister, and may show signs of damage or wear. Make sure to inspect all the wiring in the harness carefully. Make all necessary repairs to the wiring and retape harness.

Once the harness is repaired, reposition the loop in the harness up and out of the way of road debris. Using a zip tie, loosely fasten the harness to the right rear parking brake cable to keep it from being damaged by road debris.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
