PCM Reprogram Bulletin 04-06-04-069.
This information pertains to Advanced Service Bulletin 04-06-04-069 released yesterday, which advises dealers to reprogram the PCM to correct slight engine idle RPM flare condition. Please note that an issue has been found indicating that a VCI number may be necessary to successfully reprogram the PCM. If you have a reprogramming issue, to expedite the process, contact the Techline Customer Support Center (800) 828 6860 then, select prompt 1 and prompt 1 again for VCIs. You may be given the option to leave your contact information and VIN if there are calls waiting in queue. A TCSC representative will call the dealer back with a VCI number usually within the hour, which will allow you to reprogram the PCM. A resolution for this issue is being worked on for the next broadcast in TIS. I will you send out another message when TIS has been updated with the correction.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
