  2. Use a test lamp in order to probe the horn relay connector from cavity 85 to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Use a test lamp in order to probe the horn relay connector from cavity 30 to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Replace the junction block.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Use a test lamp in order to probe the horn relay connector from cavity 86 to B+.
  2. Press either horn switch.

Does the test lamp light?

Is the repair complete?

  1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the junction block connector C3 from cavity 5 to B+.
  2. Press either horn switch.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Inspect for an open in BLK wire between the right side horn switch and the SIR contact coil.
  2. If OK, replace the SIR contact coil.

Connect a fused jumper from the horn relay connector cavity 30 to cavity 87.

Does the horn sound?

Go to Step 11

  1. Remove the fused jumper from the horn relay connector.
  2. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the horn BLK wire connector to B+

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 12

Replace the horn relay.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

  1. Inspect for an open in GRN wire between the horn and the horn relay.
  2. If OK, replace the horn.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Inspect for a poor ground connection at G102.
  2. If the connection is OK, repair the open in BLK wire between the horn and G102.

Is the repair complete?
