Did you perform the Audible Warnings System Check?

  1. Place the ignition key in the ignition switch, and leave in the LOCK position.
  2. Disconnect the audio alarm module connector.
  3. Connect a test lamp from cavity 4 of the audio alarm module connector to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the junction-block connector C2 from cavity 7 to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Inspect for a poor connection at the audio alarm module.
  2. If the connection is OK, replace the audio alarm module. Refer to Audio Alarm Module Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the junction-block connector C2 from cavity 5 to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 8

Test for continuity in the BLU/BLK wire between the C4 cavity 14 of the junction-block connector and cavity 4 of the audio alarm module connector.

Was there continuity in the BLU/BLK wire?

0-2ohms

Go to Step 10

  1. Inspect for a poor connection at the junction block.
  2. If the connection is OK, replace the junction block.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the ignition-key warning switch.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open BLU/BLK wire. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the junction block for continuity between connector C2 cavity 7 and connector C4 cavity 14
