Did you perform the Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) System Check?

Go to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) System Check

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Turn the light switch to the OFF position.
3. Backprobe the DRL control module using a J 39200 from cavity 5 to ground.
4. Measure the voltage.

Is the measured voltage greater than the specified range?

B+

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

1. Backprobe the DRL control module connector using a J 39200 from cavity 7 to B+.
2. Measure the voltage.

Is the measured voltage greater than the specified range?

B+

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in the BLK/WHT wire that is between the junction block and the DRL control module. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) System Check

--

1. Disengage the parking brake.
2. Backprobe the DRL control module using a J 39200 from cavity 3 to B+.
3. Measure the voltage.

Is the measured voltage greater than the specified range?

B+

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 8

Repair the open in the BLK wire the DRL control module and G 201. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) System Check

--

1. Start the engine.
2. Backprobe the DRL control module connector using a J 39200 from cavity 4 to ground.
3. Measure the voltage.

Is the measured voltage greater than or equal to the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 10

Go to Charging System Check in Engine Electrical

Inspect for a short to ground in the PPL or in the RED/YEL wire between the DRL control module and the parking-brake switch.

Is the connection OK?

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 12

Replace the parking brake. Refer to Park Brake Lever Assembly Replacement in Park Brake.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) System Check

--

Inspect for an open in the RED/WHT wire that is between the DRL control module and S 104.

Is the connection OK?

--

Go to Step 11

Go to Step 12

Replace the DRL control module. Refer to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) Control Module Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) System Check

--

Repair the wire. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?
