Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 728022  Size: SH
  1. Remove the front bucket seat (1). Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  2. Remove the recliner trim cover screws from the seat.
  3. Remove the hinge arm trim cover (2) from the bucket seat (1).
  4. Disconnect the wire harness from the lumbar seat switch (5).
  5. While applying light pressure to the lumbar switch, use a flat-bladed tool to disengage the lock tabs on the hinge arm trim cover.
  6. Remove the lumbar seat switch (5) from the recliner trim cover (2).

Installation Procedure

  1. Align the lumbar seat switch (5) with the opening in the hinge arm trim cover (2).
  2. Press inward on the lumbar seat switch until the switch is fully seated in the trim cover. Engage the lock tabs.
  3. Connect the wire harness to the lumbar seat switch (5).
  4. Install the recliner trim cover (2) to the bucket seat (1).
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the recliner trim cover screws.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.7 N·m (15 lb in)

  8. Install the bucket seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
