Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 732144  Size: SH
  1. Remove the front bucket seat from the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  2. Remove the seat back cover from the seat back pad. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement .
  3. Remove the seat back pad from the seat back frame.
  4. Remove recliner mechanism bolts, and remove the recliner mechanism from the seat back frame.
  5. Remove lumbar bladders from the seat back frame, if equipped. Refer to Lumbar Bladder Replacement .
  6. Remove the seat back frame. Seat Frame (RPO-AQ9) shown, seat frame (RPO-AR9) similiar.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat back frame. Seat Frame (RPO-AQ9) shown, seat frame (RPO-AR9) similiar.
  2. Install lumbar bladders to the seat back frame, if equipped. Refer to Lumbar Bladder Replacement .
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install recliner mechanism, and install the recliner bolts to the seat back frame.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft)

  6. Install the seat back pad to the seat back frame.
  7. Install the seat back cover to the seat back pad. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement .
  8. Install the front bucket seat to the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
