Removal Procedure
- Remove the front side door trim panel. Refer to
Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the water deflector. Refer to
Door Water Deflector Replacement
.
- Disconnect the electrical
connectors from all components in door.
- Remove the wiring harness grommet (3) from door (1).
- Remove the crosscar and front side door wiring harness from door.
- Support the door in preparation for the door removal.
- Remove the upper (2) and the lower hinge nuts (4).
- With the aid of an assistant, remove the door from vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- With the aid of an assistant,
install the door to the upper and lower hinges.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the upper (2) and lower hinge nuts (4).
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
- Install the crosscar and the front side door wiring harness to
the door.
- Install the wiring harness grommet (3) to the door (1).
- Connect the electrical connectors to all components in the door.
- Install the water deflector. Refer to

- Install the front side door trim panel. Refer to
Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
