Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement Chevrolet

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  2. Object Number: 368247  Size: SH
  3. Remove the push-in retainers located under the fascia.

  4. Object Number: 368249  Size: SH
  5. Remove the bumper fascia nuts.

  6. Object Number: 368250  Size: SH
  7. Remove the bumper fascia bolts.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. Remove the rear end finish panel.
  10. Remove the spare tire and jack.
  11. Remove the upper push-in retainers from the top of the fascia.

  12. Object Number: 368264  Size: SH
  13. Remove the harness connector rosebud clip from the fascia.
  14. Disconnect the rear body wiring harness connector from the fascia wiring harness connector.
  15. Remove the rear bumper fascia from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear bumper fascia to the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 368264  Size: SH
  3. Connect the rear body wiring harness connector to the rear fascia wiring harness connector.
  4. Connect the harness connector rosebud clip to the fascia.
  5. Install the upper push-in retainers to the top of the fascia.
  6. Install the spare tire and jack.
  7. Install the rear end finish panel.
  8. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  9. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  10. Install the bumper fascia bolts.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the bumper fascia bolts to 2 N·m (18 lb in).


    Object Number: 368249  Size: SH
  12. Remove the bumper fascia nuts.
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the bumper fascia nuts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).


    Object Number: 368247  Size: SH
  14. Install the push-in retainers located under the fascia.
  15. Lower the vehicle.

Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement Pontiac

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  2. Object Number: 368256  Size: SH
  3. Remove the push-in retainers located under the fascia.

  4. Object Number: 368258  Size: SH
  5. Remove the bumper fascia nuts.

  6. Object Number: 368250  Size: SH
  7. Remove the bumper fascia bolts.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. Remove the rear end finish panel.
  10. Remove the spare tire and jack.

  11. Object Number: 368260  Size: SH
  12. Remove the push-in retainers from the top of the fascia.

  13. Object Number: 368264  Size: SH
  14. Remove the harness connector rosebud clip from the fascia.
  15. Disconnect the rear body wiring harness connector from the fascia wiring harness connector.
  16. Remove the rear bumper fascia from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear bumper fascia to the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 368264  Size: SH
  3. Connect the rear body wiring harness connector to the rear fascia wiring harness connector.
  4. Connect the harness connector rosebud clip to the fascia.

  5. Object Number: 368260  Size: SH
  6. Remove the push-in retainers from the top of the fascia.
  7. Install the spare tire and jack.
  8. Install the rear end finish panel.
