Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

  1. Verify that the reverse park aid mirror option is turned ON for the current driver. Refer to Driver Personalization in Personalization.
  2. If the option is not turned ON, turn it ON.

Is the reverse park aid mirror option now turned ON for the current driver?

Go to Step 3

With the mirror control switches, operate the passenger door mirror in the up and down directions.

Does the passenger door mirror operate in both directions?

Go to Step 4

Go to Power Mirrors Inoperative

  1. Start the engine.
  2. With the brake pedal depressed, move the gear shift selector into the REVERSE position.

Does the passenger outside rearview mirror tilt downward 10 degrees?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 5

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the passenger door module. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 7

Replace the passenger door module (PDM). Refer to Control Module References in Computer/Integrating Systems for replacement, setup, and programming.

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
