Removal Procedure
Drain the engine coolant. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
Using the
J 38185
loosen and move the outlet radiator hose clamp at the radiator.
Remove the outlet radiator hose from the radiator.
Using the
J 38185
loosen and move the outlet radiator hose clamp at the engine.
Remove the outlet radiator hose from the engine.
Installation Procedure
Install the outlet radiator hose to the engine.
Install the outlet radiator hose to the radiator.
Using the
J 38185
install the outlet radiator hose clamps.
Fill the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.

Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

Removal Procedure
Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to
Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
in Engine Controls - 4.6L.
Position the
J 38185
to the clamp in order to remove the outlet radiator hose (2) from the thermostat housing.
Position the
J 37097-A
to the clamp in order to remove the outlet radiator hose from the radiator.
Remove the outlet radiator hose from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Position the
J 37097-A
to the clamp in order to connect the outlet radiator hose to the radiator.
Position the
J 38185
to the clamp in order to connect the outlet radiator hose (2) to the thermostat housing.
Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to
Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
in Engine Controls - 4.6L.
Fill the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
