Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the cruise control cable (2) from the accelerator controls cable bracket (1).
- Disconnect the accelerator cable (3) from the accelerator controls cable bracket (1).
- Disconnect the fuel feed (3) and fuel return (2) fuel pipes from the retainer (1).
- Disconnect the transaxle vent hose (2) clip from the accelerator controls cable bracket (1).
- Remove the upper throttle body bolt.
- Remove the bolts (2) from the accelerator controls cable bracket (3).
Installation Procedure
- Install the accelerator controls cable bracket (3) and bolts (2).
- Install the upper throttle body bolt.
- Connect the fuel feed (3) and fuel return (2) fuel pipes to the retainer (1).
- Connect the transaxle vent hose (2) clip to the accelerator controls cable bracket (1).
- Connect the cruise control cable (2) from the accelerator controls cable bracket (1).
- Connect the accelerator controls cable (3) from the accelerator controls cable bracket (1).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
