Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2001 🢒 Bonneville 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Controls - 3.8L 🢒 Accelerator Pedal Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Turn OFF the ignition.

    2. Object Number: 65341 Size: SH
  2. Remove the left instrument closeout/insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.
  3. Remove the e-clip (3) from the pedal (2).
  4. Remove the plastic retainer from inside the pedal.
  5. Remove the accelerator control cable (1) from the pedal by pulling the cable straight out and up, toward the top of the pedal.
  6. Remove the accelerator control pedal from the brake and accelerator pedal assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 65341 Size: SH
  1. Install the accelerator control pedal (2) to the brake and accelerator control pedal assembly.
  2. Install the plastic retainer inside the pedal.
  3. Install the e-clip onto the pedal.
  4. Install the accelerator control cable (1) to the pedal by pulling the pedal straight out and down, toward the top of the pedal.

    5. Important: The throttle should operate freely and without binding between the full-closed and the wide-open throttle positions.

  5. Check the throttle opening and closing positions by operating the accelerator controls pedal. Also check for the correct carpet fit under the accelerator controls pedal.
  6. Install the left instrument closeout/insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.
