The passenger mirror horizontal position sensor is a potentiometer. The driver door module determines the horizontal position of the mirror based on the voltage from the sensor. The sensor is powered by the passenger door module. The passenger door module converts the sensors feedback voltage to a simple bus digital signal and communicates it to the driver door module.
The driver door module and the passenger door module must be powered.
The feedback voltage is less than 0.25 V or greater than 4.75 V for more than 3 seconds.
Memory movements on this axis are disabled. Manual movements are not disabled.
The sensor short to ground condition must be corrected.
