Tools Required

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
2. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement in SIR.



3. Remove the nut (2).
4. Note the mark on the steering shaft and the steering wheel (1) in order to ensure proper alignment during installation.



5. Remove the steering wheel.

Use the correct side screws for pulling the wheel.

1. Route the wiring through the steering wheel.



2. Align the mark on the steering wheel (1) with the mark on the shaft.
3. Install the steering wheel (1).
4. Install the nut (2).
5. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement in SIR.
6. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in Restraints.
