For 1990-2009 cars only
- Position the shift lever in the N (Neutral) gate notch.
- Move the clip (3) on the edge of the shift bowl in order to center the pointer on N (Neutral).
- Push the clip (3) onto the bowl (4).
- Move the shift lever through all positions and then back to N (Neutral) in order to inspect the adjustment.
Ensure that the cable (1) rests on the bowl (4), not on the column jacket. Ensure that the clip (3) is tight on the bowl (4) and does not slip.
Ensure that the following conditions exist:
| • | The pointer covers a portion of each graphic. |
| • | The flag fills the entire window for each graphic. |
