If hard steering exists, inspect for the following conditions:

    • Magnasteerâ„¢ system malfunction (at low speeds).
    • Intermediate shaft coupling damaged or worn
    • Tight steering column bearings
    • Sticking flow control valve
    • Insufficient pump pressure
    • Air in power steering system
    • Low fluid level
    • Excessive internal pump leakage
    • Excessive internal rack and pinion leakage
