Condition/Concern:

A customer may complain that a Tire Inflation Monitor System (TIMS) warning light is illuminated on the message center and cannot be turned off .

Recommendation/Instructions:

If a vehicle has a TIMS light illuminated on the IPC when equipped with ABS (JL9), TCS (NW9), and a base cluster (UH8), it will require to have the TIMS disabled using the Tech 2. Vehicles equipped as such are not supposed to have TIMS. If your Tech 2 has the latest software version of at least 23.011 or higher, you will be able to turn this option off. Build the vehicle in the Tech 2, select Diagnostics, Chassis, select 'ABS_TCS_TIMS', Special Functions, and lastly, 'Disable TIMS'.
