J 21177-A Drum-to-Brake Shoe Clearance Gage

1. Remove the rear disc brake rotor (1). Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Replacement in Disc Brakes.
2. Turn the rotor slowly while pulling the rotor away from the hub.
3. Set the J 21177-A so that the J 21177-A contacts the inside diameter of the rotor.



4. Position the J 21177-A over the shoe (1) and lining at the widest point.
5. Turn the adjuster nut until the shoe and lining just contacts the J 21177-A .
6. Repeat steps two through five for the rotor on the opposite side.
7. Install the rear disc brake rotor (1). Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Replacement in Disc Brakes.
