Rear Seat Recliner Replacement Bucket

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear bucket seat. Refer to Rear Bucket Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the outer trim panel from the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the inner trim panel from the rear seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Inner Trim Panel Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 627019  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the cable retainer from the seat back recliner, pushing up on the retainer.

  6. Object Number: 627012  Size: SH
  7. Remove the cable from the seat back recliner.

  8. Object Number: 627496  Size: SH
  9. Move away the seat back cover and pad in order to expose the seat back recliner bolts.
  10. Remove the bolts from the seat back recliner.
  11. Remove the recliner from the seat.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 627496  Size: SH
  1. Install the seat back recliner to the seat.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the recliner seat back bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).

  5. Move the seat back cover and pad over the seat back recliner bolts.

  7. Install the cable to the seat back recliner.

  8. Object Number: 627019  Size: SH
  9. Install the cable retainer to the seat back recliner, pushing down on the retainer until fully seated.
  10. Install the outer trim panel to the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  11. Install the inner trim panel to the rear seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Inner Trim Panel Replacement .
  12. Install the rear bucket seat. Refer to Rear Bucket Seat Replacement .

Rear Seat Recliner Replacement Split Bench

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear split bench seat. Refer to Rear 50-50 Split Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the outer trim panel from the seat cushions. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 629131  Size: SH
  4. Move the seat back cover and the pad away in order to expose the seat back recliner bolts.
  5. Remove the bolts from the seat back recliner.

  6. Object Number: 629121  Size: SH
  7. Remove the recliner from the seat.

  8. Object Number: 629192  Size: SH
  9. If required, remove the trim cover from the seat back recliner inner side.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 629192  Size: SH
  1. If required, install the trim cover to the inner side of the seat back recliner.

  2. Object Number: 629121  Size: SH
  3. Install the seat back recliner to the seat.

  4. Object Number: 629131  Size: SH

  7. Move the cover and the pad over the seat back recliner bolts.
  8. Install the outer trim panel to the seat cushions. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  9. Install the split bench seat. Refer to Rear 50-50 Split Seat Replacement .
