Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front bucket seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the outer trim panel from the front seat cushion. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the inner trim panel from the front seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Inner Trim Panel Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 627012  Size: SH
  5. Remove the cable ends from the seat back recliner hinge.

  6. Object Number: 627152  Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector harness for the side air bag from the front seat frame.

  8. Object Number: 627150  Size: SH
  9. Disconnect the electrical connector for the side air bag from the front seat frame.
  10. Disconnect the heated seat electrical connector.

  11. Object Number: 627009  Size: SH
  12. Remove the left front bolts from the seat back recliner hinge.

  13. Object Number: 627114  Size: SH
  14. Remove the right front bolts from the seat back recliner hinge.

  15. Object Number: 627127  Size: SH
  16. Remove the back from the seat cushion frame. Set the back face down on the front seat cushion.
  17. Remove the heated seat wiring harness and the side air bag wire harness. Remove the wiring harnesses through the front seat cushion and frame area.
  18. Remove the seat back from the seat cushion.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 627127  Size: SH
  1. Install the front seat back onto the front seat cushion.
  2. Install the wiring harnesses to the heated seat and to the side air bag through the front seat cushion and frame area.
  3. Install the back to the seat cushion frame.

  4. Object Number: 627009  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the left front bolts to the seat back recliner hinge.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).

  7. Install the right front bolts to the seat back recliner hinge.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).

  9. Install the recliner cable ends to the seat back recliner hinge.
  10. Install the outer trim panel to the front seat cushion. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  11. Install the inner trim panel to the front seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Inner Trim Panel Replacement .
  12. Inspect the seat back for proper operation.
  13. Install the front bucket seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement .
