Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 611437  Size: SH

    Important: In order to minimize door realignment, do not remove both door hinges at the same time. Replace the broken door hinge first.

  1. Open the front door.
  2. Clean the mounting surfaces of the hinges with a clean rag and mark the front door hinge locations on each surface with a grease pencil or other suitable marker.
  3. Support the front door.
  4. Remove the bolts from the body side door hinge.

  6. Remove the bolts from the door side door hinge.
  7. Remove the door hinge from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 611437  Size: SH
  1. Position the front door hinge to the alignment marks.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the bolts to the body side door hinge.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to the body side door hinge to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the bolts to the door side door hinge.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to the door side door hinge to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  7. Remove the support from the front door.
  8. Inspect the door for proper operation and alignment. Refer to Door Adjustment .
