Front Fender Wheel Opening Molding Replacement Aztek
Removal Procedure
- Remove the front wheel liner. Refer to
Front Fender Liner Replacement
in Body Front End.
- Remove the bolts from the corner of the front fascia. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Replacement
in Bumpers.
- Remove the screws from the front wheel opening molding.
- Pull the corner of the front fascia outward to access the wheel opening
molding front retainer.
- A
thin, plastic flat-bladed tool may be used between the fender and the molding to help
release the retainers.
Remove the front wheel opening molding from the fender.
Installation Procedure
- Position
the front wheel opening molding to the fender.
- Align the push-in retainers to the holes in the fender.
- Press the front wheel opening molding to the fender until all of the
retainers are fully seated.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the front wheel opening molding screws to the front wheel opening molding.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install the bolts to the corner of the front fascia. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Replacement
in Bumpers.
- Install the front wheel liner. Refer to
Front Fender Liner Replacement
in Body Front End.
