Side Window Defogger Outlet Duct Replacement w/o UV6

1. Remove the IP trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.



2. Pull the side window defogger ducts from the cross vehicle beam.
3. Pull the side window defogger ducts from the defroster duct.
4. Remove the side window defogger ducts from the vehicle.

1. Align the side window defogger ducts onto the defroster duct and snap the ducts into place.
2. Align the side window defogger ducts and snap the ducts into the cross vehicle beam.
3. Install the IP trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

Side Window Defogger Outlet Duct Replacement w/ UV6

1. Remove the IP trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.



2. Disconnect the heads up display module electrical connector.
3. Remove the bolts that secure the heads up display module to the IP.
4. Remove the heads up display module.



5. Pull the side window defogger ducts from the cross vehicle beam.
6. Pull the side window defogger ducts from the defroster duct.
7. Remove the side window defogger ducts from the vehicle.

1. Align the side window defogger ducts onto the defroster duct and snap the ducts into place.
2. Align the side window defogger ducts and snap the ducts into the cross vehicle beam.



3. Install the heads up display module.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

4. Install the bolts that secure the heads up display module to the IP.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

5. Connect the heads up display module electrical connector.
6. Install the IP trim pad. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
