Oil Pan Replacement
.
- Remove the filter. Refer to
Automatic Transmission Fluid Filter and Seal Replacement
.
- Remove the accumulator cover bolts (131).
- Remove the manual 2-1 band servo cover bolts (103).
- Use a large flat-bladed tool in order to gently pry the lube oil pipe retainer (129) from the case.
- Remove the lube oil pipe (130) from the front differential carrier internal gear lube hole.
- Remove the accumulator (132).
- Remove the manual 2-1 band servo cover (104).
- Remove the manual 2-1 band servo (106-116).
- Remove the manual 2-1 band servo cover gasket (105).
- Disassemble, inspect and service the accumulator and manual 2-1 band servo.
Installation Procedure
- Install the manual 2-1 band servo cover gasket (105) into the case. Lubricate the manual 2-1 band servo cover gasket with
automatic transmission fluid.
- Install the manual 2-1 band servo (106-116).
- Install the manual 2-1 band servo cover (104).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the manual 2-1 band servo cover bolts (103).
Tighten
Tighten the manual 2-1 band servo cover bolts (130) to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Install the accumulator (132).
- Install the lube oil pipe (130) into the case at the lube hole for the front differential carrier internal gear.
- Use a flat-bladed tool in order to lock the lube oil pipe retainer (129) into the case.

Tighten
Tighten the accumulator cover bolts (131) to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
- If removed, install a new filter seal.
- Install the filter. Refer to
Automatic Transmission Fluid Filter and Seal Replacement
.
- Install the oil pan. Refer to
Oil Pan Replacement
.
- Lower the vehicle.
Important: It is recommended that transmission adaptive pressure (TAP) information be reset.
Resetting the TAP values using a scan tool will erase all learned values in all cells. As a result, the engine control module
(ECM), powertrain control module (PCM), or transmission control module (TCM) will need to relearn TAP values. Transmission performance may be affected as new TAP values are learned.
- Reset the TAP values. Refer to
Transmission Adaptive Functions
.
