Did you review the ALC System Description and Operation and perform the necessary inspections?

Verify the condition is present.

Does the system operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Place the inflator switch in the ON position.

Does the automatic level control compressor motor run with NO air at inflator valve?

Go to Step 15

Go to Step 4

Disconnect the automatic level control inflator air switch connector.

Connect a fused jumper wire between the automatic level control inflator relay coil control circuit and ground.

Does the automatic level control compressor motor run?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Replace automatic level control inflator air switch.

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 19

Test the ground circuit of the automatic level control inflator air switch for an open.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 19

Disconnect the automatic level control inflator time relay.

Connect a fused jumper wire between the automatic level control relay control supply voltage and ground.

Does the automatic level control compressor motor run?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 10

Inspect for poor connections at the harrness connector of the automatic level control inflator time relay.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 19

Go to Step 9

Replace automatic level control time relay.

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 19

Disconnect the automatic level control compressor connector.

Connect a test lamp between the automatic level control compressor motor supply voltage circuit and ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 11

Inspect for poor connections at the harrness connector of the automatic level control compressor assembly.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 19

Relace automatic level control compressor.

Did you complete the replacement?

Inspect for poor connections at the harrness connector of the automatic level control compressor relay.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Replace the automatic level control compressor relay.

Disconnect the automatic level control solenoid valve connector.

Connect a test lamp between the automatic level control solenoid valve supply voltage and ground.

Place the inflator switch in the ON position.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 16

Inspect for poor connections at the harrness connector of the automatic level control compressor relay.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 19

Inspect for poor connections at the harrness connector of the automatic level control compressor relay.
