CRANKSHAFT PULLEY BOLT BREAKAGE CAN OCCUR DUE TO LOSS OF TORQUE CAUSING A FATIGUE BREAKAGE OR OVERTORQUE CAUSING A STRESS BREAKAGE. A NEW FLANGED TYPE BOLT P/N 14015693 ENTERED PRODUCTION JUNE 5, 1980 (V0615) TO IMPROVE THE TORQUE RETENTION CHARACTERISTICS OF THE BOLT. WHEN A CONDITION OF THIS NATURE OCCURS IT SHOULD BE REPAIREDUSING A NEW WASHER P/N 466343. THE BOLT MUST BE TORQUED TO 120 NM (90 FT.LBS.) * WHEN INSTALLED. IF THE PULLEY BEING INSTALLED HAS A PAINTED SURFACE REMOVE ALL PAINT FROM THE WASHER CONTACT AREA. THE SCORING OR WEAR ON THE SPROCKET SURFACE OF THE CRANKSHAFT IS NOT DETRIMENTAL AND WILL NOT CAUSE A RECURRENCE OF THE CONDITION IF THE PROPER PARTS AND TORQUE IS ADHERED TO. * THE CRANKSHAFT MUST BE HELD WHILE TORQUING THE PULLEY BOLT IN ORDER TO REACH 90 FT.
