SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE

The following information is to be added to General Information Section page OA-7 of the Service Manual.

NOTICE: WHEN LIFTING, JACKING, OR SUPPORTING AN ALL WHEEL DRIVE (AWD) VEHICLE, BE CERTAIN THAT ONLY FRAME OR WHEEL CONTACT HOISTS, JACK, OR JACKSTANDS ARE USED.

DO NOT LIFT, JACK, OR SUPPORT AN AWD VEHICLE BY THE TRANSVERSE SPRING. LIFTING, JACKING, OR SUPPORTING AN AWD VEHICLE WITH SUSPENSION CONTACT EQUIPMENT MAY FRACTURE THE TRANSVERSE SPRING, AS THE EQUIPMENT CONTACTS THE SPRING. A FRACTURED TRANSVERSE SPRING CAN LEAD TO FAILURE OF THE SPRING.
