Choke light wire misindexed in I.P. cluster connector no. 2.
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove I.P cluster by: a. Remove left and centre lower trim plates. b. Remove centre trim pad. c. Remove cluster.
3. Unsnap connector no. 2 from I.P. (black connector). Pull connector out for access. Remove terminal from cavity no. 8 of connector (light blue wire) and reinstall in cavity no. 11. See page 8A-82-7 or 1986 Pontiac 6000 Service Manual for view of connector.
4. Note this change on pages 8A-82-7, and 8A-82-0 of your Service Manual.
5. Reinstall I.P. cluster.
6. Reconnect negative battery cable.
