NO OR HARSH 1-2 SHIFT AT W.O.T REPAIRS OUTLINED

1986 STE WITH THM 125C TRANSAXLES CODE 6CUC

I. Harsh 1-2 Shift

Date Of Production Change: (Figure 1) May 15, 1986 (Julian date 135) new intermediate servo parts.

Service Action:

To service a 1986 (built before Julian date 135) THM 125C model CUC transaxle, install a new intermediate servo piston, seals, cover and gasket.

8652900 - Package--Intermediate servo piston, inner and outer seals 8631703 - Intermediate servo cover 8631698 - Intermediate servo cover gasket

Service Notes:

The new intermediate servo piston has a smaller apply surface area to provide a smoother 1-2 shift.

II. No 1-2 Shift At Wide Open Throttle

Date Of Production Change: (Figure 1) July 15, 1986 (Julian date 196) new control valve assembly and gaskets.

Service Action:

To service a 1986 (built between Julian dates 170 and 195) THM 125C model CUC transaxle, install a new control valve assembly and gaskets.

Service Parts Information:

8652311 - Control valve assembly 8652506 - Package--case to spacer plate and spacer plate to control valve assembly gaskets
