LOOSE OR MISSING WHEEL COVERS (NEW RETENTION SYSTEM & P/N)

P02 WHEEL COVERS

Models Affected 1986-88 PONTIAC 6000 AND 6000 LE MODELS --------------- This bulletin combines and supersedes bulletin 86-3-14 issued 9/86 and 87/3-21 issued 1O/87. Please remove them from your files.

Covers on vehicles produced after January 1, 1988 have a new 9-point retention system. From the front side, the covers are identical and can be used on 1986-88 vehicles.

Vehicles produced prior to July 1987 may experience missing and/orloose wheel covers. Loose or missing wheel covers should be repaired as follows:

MISSING COVERS - Replace missing covers and replace clips on remaining covers with new retention clips (3 per cover).

*LOOSE COVER - If a customer has one loose cover, replace the clips on all 4 covers.

** Refer to Illustration for installation procedure.

Covers on vehicles produced after July 1, 1987 and before January 1,1988, will have new clips.
