INOP FOG LAMP SWITCH INSTALL NEW SWITCH BEZEL

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1984 and 1985 6000 STE

CONDITION:

--------- The fog lamp switch in some 1984 or 1985 STE vehicles may be difficult to turn off or on.

CAUSE:

------ The condition may be caused by a cracking or slipping of the fog lamp switch bezel. The bezel may not be able to withstand the driver's force to turn the switch to the 'off' or 'on' positions.

CORRECTION:

---------- The condition has been corrected in production. For vehicles exhibiting the condition, new bezels should be used. They are identified as having four ribs on the outside surface of the bezel. Part numbers remain unchanged. (See bezel sketch)
