1985 PARISIENNE AND 1000 MODELS
This bulletin rescinds Dealer Bulletin 85-2-17, dated 10/85.
The paint condition described in Dealer Bulletin 85-2-17 would only occur during the first few months after the car was produced. The last affected vehicles were produced in July 1985. Therefore, after more than one year from the date of manufacture, it is unlikely that the contamination described in 85-2-17 could materialize.
For this reason, no further claims will be accepted for blushing exterior finish under operation T0132.
All future paint claims shall be resolved in accordance with policies and procedures applicable to 1985 model Pontiacs.
General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
