NEW HYDRAULIC ENGINE MOUNTS CORRECT LOW SPEED RATTLE

1985 6000 WITH LB6, LE2, AND LR8 ENGINES

Some 1985 6000 vehicles may experience a rattle type noise from the engine compartment which may be caused by the hydraulic engine mount (see illustration). This condition may be corrected by the installation of a new mount.

To repair vehicles experiencing this condition, use the mounts as listed on the following chart:

17983732 Purple Pontiac 6000 with LR8 L4 Engine

The procedures to be followed for this repair are detailed in the appropriate section of the service manual. Use applicable labor operation number and labor times.
