For 1990-2009 cars only

If a weld stud is damaged during a repair procedure, perform the following steps in order to replace the weld stud:

  1. Drill a hole into the same location as the damaged weld stud.
  2. Drive a screw into the drilled hole.
  3. Use a screw in order to retain the following components:
  4. • The clips
    • The moldings
    • Other components
  5. If the surface is damaged, repair and paint the surface as needed in order to provide a smooth surface. Refer to Clearcoat Repair without Repainting in Paint and Coatings.
