J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover

1. Remove the front door sill plate. Refer to Front Side Door Sill Plate Replacement .
2. Remove the side door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - Side .
3. Remove the body pillar upper trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
4. Vehicles equipped with a power sliding door, remove the power sliding door open/close switch. Refer to Power Sliding Door (PSD) Open/Close Pillar Switch Replacement in Doors.



5. Using J 38778 , remove the body pillar lower trim panel retainers.
6. Remove the body pillar lower trim panel from the vehicle.

1. Install the lower trim panel to the vehicle.
2. Install the retainers to the lower trim panel by aligning the retainers with the holes and pushing in on the retainers to secure.
3. On vehicles equipped with a power sliding door, install the open/close switch. Refer to Power Sliding Door (PSD) Open/Close Pillar Switch Replacement in Doors.
4. Install the body pillar upper trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
5. Install the side door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - Side .
6. Install the front door sill plate. Refer to Front Side Door Sill Plate Replacement .
7. Install door opening seals to edges of body pillar lower trim panel.
