(2)Auxiliary Video Module (AVM)
(3)Video Screen
(4)Second Seat Audio (SSA) Control
(5)Rear Seat Audio (RSA) Control

The video entertainment system augments the in-dash audio system with video and four additional headphone/earphone jacks for private listing enjoyment.

The video entertainment system is really two separate systems-audio and video--that can be operated independently of each other.

The video entertainment system consists of:

    • A video Cassette Player (VCP) housed in the console below the instrument panel.
    • A separate infrared remote to control the video playback functions of the VCP.
    • A video screen in the overhead entertainment console

The audio system consists of:

    • Auxiliary Video Module (AVM) in the overhead entertainment console.
    • A Second Seat Audio (SSA) control in the overhead entertainment console
    • A Third Seat Audio (TSA) control forward of the right-hand third row seat armrest.
    • Rear Seat Audio (RSA) in the overhead entertainment console

The vehicle's regular in-dash audio system consists of the AM-FM stereo with cassette tape player, and the remote compact disc player. Without the video entertainment system option, audio from the in-dash system would only be available through the front and rear speakers, and the two headphone jacks in the Rear Seat Audio (RSA).

Headphones and Jacks

The video entertainment system can support up to six headphones or earphones. The two audio control for the second and third row seats each have two headphone jacks. The Rear Seat Audio (RSA) also has two jacks. Any stereo headphone or earphone with and 1/8 inch male plug may be used.

Rear Speakers

Aside from the headphones, audio can be heard through the rear speakers only when:

    • The in-dash radio is being used, the video screen is latched, and the Rear seat Audio (RSA) are OFF.
    • The in-dash radio and Rear Seat Audio (RSA) are OFF, and the video screen is unlatched and the video source is in use.

Headliner

Replacement of the headliner requires a modification to the new replacement part. The new headliner will include a template which identifies the correct cut-out location. If it is necessary to replace the headliner, follow the existing headliner replacement procedure upon removal of the video entertainment system overhead console.
