Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear climate control. Refer to Rear Climate Control Replacement .
  2. Remove the auxiliary video module. Refer to Audio/Video Interface Module Replacement .
  3. Remove the second seat audio control. Refer to Second Seat Audio Control Replacement .
  4. Remove the rear seat audio (RSA). Refer to Rear Seat Audio Control Replacement .
  5. Press the video screen release button and flip the video screen to the down position.

  6. Object Number: 407298  Size: SH
  7. Remove the screws from the video entertainment system overhead console.
  8. Remove the video entertainment system overhead console from the headliner.
  9. Transfer the flexible closeout shield around the video screen to the new overhead console, if equipped.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the video entertainment system overhead console to the headliner.

  2. Object Number: 407298  Size: SH
  3. Loosely install the screws to the video entertainment system overhead console.
  4. Make sure the video entertainment system overhead console is aligned with the video screen.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Tighten the video entertainment system overhead console screws to 2 N·m(18 lb in).
  7. Return the video screen to the up position.
  8. Install the rear seat audio (RSA). Refer to Rear Seat Audio Control Replacement .
  9. Install the second seat audio control. Refer to Second Seat Audio Control Replacement .
  10. Remove the auxiliary video module. Refer to Audio/Video Interface Module Replacement .
  11. Remove the rear climate control. Refer to Rear Climate Control Replacement .
