Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the left side rear quarter trim. Refer to Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the upper mounting bolts and nut to the heater A/C module and reposition rearward enough for access.

  3. Object Number: 295297  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect electrical connector at the temperature valve electric actuator.

  5. Object Number: 400628  Size: SH
  6. Remove the screws securing the temperature valve electric actuator.
  7. Remove the temperature valve electric actuator.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 400628  Size: SH
  1. Install the temperature valve electric actuator.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the temperature valve electric actuator mounting screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.6 N·m (14 lb in).

  5. Install the electrical connector to the temperature valve electric actuator.
  6. Install the upper mounting bolts to the heater A/C module.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts and nut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  8. Install the left side rear quarter trim. Refer to Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
