Removal Procedure
- Use a heat gun in order to heat the sliding door
upper guards. Hold the heat gun 152 mm (6 in) from the surface.
Use a circular motion to apply heat for about 30 seconds.
- Use a flat-bladed tool in order to peel the sliding door upper
and lower guards from the panel surface. Be careful not to damage the paint.
- Use oil-free naphtha or alcohol in order to clean the body panel.
Installation Procedure
- Use a heat lamp or heat gun in order to warm the body panel to
a minimum of 21°C (70°F).
- Peel the backing from the front end of the sliding door upper
and lower guards. Do not touch the adhesive backing.
- Press the sliding door upper and lower guards
onto the body while continuing to remove the backing.
- Hand roll the sliding door upper and lower guards to the body
in order to ensure proper adhesion.
