Power Window Inoperative - Right Side Front from RF window switch only

  1. Place the ignition switch into the RUN position.
  2. Using a test light, backprobe the RF window switch connector from terminal F to ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

Replace the RF window switch. Refer to Door Trim Plate Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 5

Repair the open in CKT 141, between the RF window switch and S307.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 5

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Reconnect all connectors/components removed.

Have all the repairs been made?

  1. Disconnect the LF window switch.
  2. Disconnect the RF window switch.
  3. Check for a short to ground in CKT 166 and 167.

Is a short to ground present?

Repair the short to ground.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the LF window switch. Refer to Door Trim Plate Replacement .

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Reconnect all connectors/components removed.

Have all the repairs been made?

  1. Place the ignition switch into the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the RF window switch.
  3. Place the ignition switch into the RUN position.
  4. Using a test light, backprobe the RF window switch connector from terminals H and D.
  5. Press the LF window switch to the UP and DOWN positions.

Does the test light illuminate in both cases?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the RF window regulator motor.
  3. Check for a short to ground and continuity in CKT 666 and 667.

Are either of these conditions present?

--

Go to Step 5

  1. Using a test light, backprobe the LF window switch connector from terminals B and F.
  2. Press the LF window switch to the UP and DOWN positions.

Does the test light illuminate in both cases?

--

Go to Step 7

  1. Reconnect the RF window switch.
  2. Place the ignition switch into the RUN position.
  3. Using a test light, backprobe the RF window switch connector from terminals A and E.
  4. Press the RF window switch to the UP and DOWN positions.

Does the test light illuminate in both cases?

Repair the open or short to ground in CKT 666 or 667.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 166 or 167.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the LF window switch. Refer to Door Trim Plate Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Replace the RF window regulator motor. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Replace the RF window switch. Refer to Door Trim Plate Replacement .

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Reconnect all connectors/components removed.
