Removal Procedure
- Use a heat gun in order to heat the rear bumper fascia appliques. Hold the heat gun 152 mm (6 in) from the surface.
- Use a circular motion for 30 seconds when applying heat to the surface.
- Use a flat-bladed tool in order to peel the rear bumper fascia appliques from the rear bumper fascia surface.
- Use oil-free naphtha or alcohol in order to clean the rear bumper fascia.
Do not damage the paint.
Installation Procedure
- Warm the rear bumper fascia with a heat lamp or heat gun to a minimum of 21°C (70°F).
- Peel the backing from the front end of the rear bumper fascia appliques.
- Press the rear bumper fascia appliques to the rear fascia while continuing to remove the backing.
- Hand roll the rear bumper fascia appliques to the rear fascia in order to ensure proper adhesion.
Important: Do not touch the adhesive backing.
